What is Phren?Phren is an art & cultural space in Corfu shaped by taste, culture and community.
Ancient Greeks believed rational and emotional thought wasn’t taking place in our head but somewhere in our midriff. That place, the location of thought or contemplation was phrēn. That is the inspiration behind our space. Phren is a deliberate retreat from the digital blur into the tactile world of creation and conversation.

Discover Ancient Evil Eye Charms & Make Your Own
Turquoise eyes. Golden hands. Sacred knots. Across five ancient civilizations, people crafted objects to attract luck and ward off the evil eye. Join us to explore these traditions — then make your own protective amulet to take home.
From the turquoise glass eye above a Greek doorway to the golden hand amulets of Italy and the carved clay tablets of Mesopotamia, humanity has always sought protection from unseen forces — and invented beautiful objects to find it.
In this hands-on cultural workshop, you'll travel 5,000 years across the ancient world, exploring how Egyptians, Greeks, Mesopotamians, Romans and Byzantines understood luck, fate, and the dangerous envy of others. You'll encounter symbols like the mati, the fascinus, the crescent and the cornuto, symbols that jumped from civilization to civilization, shape-shifting as they went.
Then you'll make your own. Working guidance and a curated collection of quality materials, charms and stones, you'll craft a personal fylaxto (Greek protective amulet) to carry home as a meaningful souvenir — that can also protect you from the evil eye as you talk about your amazing trip in Greece back home.
No experience needed. Just curiosity, and perhaps a little superstition.

Vision Board Workshop
Τι θέλεις πραγματικά για τη ζωή σου; Και τι θα γινόταν αν έκανες μια μικρή παύση για να το σκεφτείς;
Στο Vision Board Workshop θα ξεκινήσουμε με μερικές απλές "ασκήσεις" για να δούμε πού βρισκόμαστε, τι θέλουμε να αλλάξουμε και προς τα πού θέλουμε να κατευθυνθούμε.
Στη συνέχεια, θα φτιάξει ο καθένας το δικό του Vision Board: ένα κολάζ από εικόνες και λέξεις που οπτικοποιεί τους στόχους και τις επιθυμίες του. Είτε προσωπικούς, είτε επαγγελματικούς.
Αν είσαι οπτικός τύπος, το να έχεις τους στόχους σου κάπου μπροστά σου θα σε βοηθήσει να τους θυμάσαι και θα είναι μια πηγή εμπνευσης. Αλλά πέρα από το ίδιο το αποτέλεσμα, η δημιουργική διαδικασία είναι μια όμορφη ευκαιρία να σταματήσεις λίγο, να σκεφτείς τι θέλεις, γιατί το θέλεις και πώς μπορείς να το κάνεις πραγματικότητα.
Και φυσικά, θα κάνουμε σουσού, θα πιούμε κρασί, θα γνωριστούμε, θα γελάσουμε και θα χαλαρώσουμε δημιουργικα. 🍷

Spend 3 creative hours learning the foundational techniques of frame weaving under the guidance of artisan Olga Dritsa of The Pokari Project. Sip a complimentary glass of wine while you work with gorgeous, textured materials. You will leave the session with a finished, ready-to-hang woven creation entirely made by you.
