I’m an artist fascinated by the stories, traditions and beliefs that shape who we are.
My work draws inspiration from the ancient world and the cultures connected to it: from Minoan, Classical Greek, Byzantine to Phoenician, Persian, and Ottoman. I’m particularly interested in the continuous exchange of ideas, symbols, stories and traditions across the Mediterranean and Near Eastern cultures, and how this movement of knowledge and creativity has shaped the world today.
Through vivid colour, mythology and symbolism, I explore the timeless values and human experiences that connect us across cultures and centuries. My work is a celebration of this rich cultural exchange, and of the many threads that continue to bind us together.
The Gorgon Mosaics
Inspired by Greco-Roman decorative motifs, this digital art collection combines simple, clean, geometric designs with the transformative use of colour. The viewer always puts in the last piece of the mosaic as the emotion it elicits changes depending on their disposition.
