September Radar
September is such a great month, bittersweet, but great. On one hand the melancholy of summer coming to an end, on the other hand the urgency to squeeze out the last drops of it - September beach days are the best. On one hand the feeling you are waiting about for fall to start, on the other the excitement and energy to start fresh.
Here’s what’s on my radar for this month.
Studying
Here’s what I’m studying this month:
Film sets: I wrote recently about my new-found obsession with film sets and soon after I run into this great article by Vanity Fair about the impact of the modernist Vandamm house in Hitchcock’s North by Northwest, so no doubt I will go down this Google search rabbit hole.
Domestika: I love buying Domestika courses -so many good ones- but haven’t gotten in the habit of actually finishing them yet. This month I’ll change that, starting with Illustration Techniques to Unlock your Creativity.
Focus
Perfect my print and shipping process for my shop.
Introduce some new spreads and routines in my bujo to help me stay on track with my art progress. Any suggestions from other bujo enthusiasts are more than welcome!
New Adventure
I miss me some Sunday roast so I think I’ll try my hand at it and bake some Yorkshire puddings. Wish me luck!
Shopping
Here’s what’s on my shopping list:
The Ordinary (yes the internet made me do it. But it wasn't wrong about Polene bags so…)
Sketchbook ( I’m still in the hunt the perfect sketchbook for me - still, especially because I like to switch up my materials all the time. If you have a recommendation please @me! )
