Art for Palestine

We’ve all been witnesses to the unprecedented destruction that has been unfolding in Gaza the past weeks. Something all sides striving for peace agree on is the first steps towards a better future for Palestinians and Israelis is an immediate ceasefire, the ending of the occupation of Gaza and West Bank and the respect and application of international law on all sides.

It’s easy to get absorbed in heated debates that only focus on cancelling and one upping the other person. Thankfully there also many voices that aren’t phased and prioritize understanding, empathy, connection and hope in their speech like author and political scientist Dr Norman Finkelstein, Maoz Inon peace activist that lost his parents in the attack of 7/10, Egyptian doctor and comedian Bassem Youssef, expert on trauma Dr Gabo Maté and many more. There are also many journalists on the ground like Motaz, Bisan, Oren and independent press like +972 Magazine, Mekomit, Just Vision Media that give an up and close prospective of what’s happening and need all our support.

I believe art is a powerful channel for change and understanding and I’m very happy to participate in the initiative Flyers for Falastin with posters including oil pastel, watercolor and acrylics artworks I created for the Palestinian cause.

Flyers for Falastin is a Belgium based initiative to spread awareness about the massive destruction and occupation of Palestine. The posters can be downloaded ready for print here or can be found in the provided pick up points around the globe. On the back of every poster you can find information on how you can support Palestine today. There are also coloring pages for kids and adults including one from yours truly. If you are interested in organizing a pick up point in your town DM Flyers for Falastin.

I hope you will find hope, courage and a sense of belonging in these works. Lets all strive together for justice and peace. <3
